Meet Our New Associate

Sarah M. Molleck grew up in Sparks, Nevada and is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.  Sarah attended Gonzaga University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2015.

While in law school, Sarah served as the Managing Editor of the Gonzaga Journal of International Law.  She received the CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Research and Writing, and Antitrust.  She worked in the law school’s mortgage mediation clinic, participated in the Linden Cup oral appellate advocacy competition, served as a research assistant, and also worked as a summer associate for a complex civil litigation firm in Seattle.  During her final year of law school, Sarah clerked for the Honorable Annette Plese and also represented low-income clients in administrative hearings before the Washington Employment Security Department.

Upon graduation, Sarah returned to Reno and served as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Lynne K. Simons of the Second Judicial District Court for the State of Nevada for two years, where she continued to gain extensive research and writing experience in many areas of the law.  Sarah is licensed to practice law before all state and federal courts in Nevada.  She is a member of several professional associations, including: American Inns of Court, Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association, Washoe County Bar Association, and American Bar Association.  She enjoys skiing, as well as hiking with her husband and their two dogs.

58th Annual Meeting of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California & Nevada

“Top appellate attorney” Robert Eisenberg will be providing a comprehensive case law review alongside Mike Brady and Don Willenburg at the 58th Annual Meeting of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California & Nevada (ADCNCN) being held December 7-8, 2017 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco, California. The always popular Year in Review session will take place on Thursday, December 7th at 10:45 a.m. It is described as a must for all attorneys to stay current with their own practice and to obtain an overview of other areas. The ADCNCN program this year, “Secrets to Your Future Success,” was organized by David Rosenbaum of McDowall Cotter, APC, who has “assembled top leaders of our industry to provide the most cutting edge information available.”

Nevada Rural Hospital Partners Foundation, Inc. – 20th Annual Golf Tournament

20170623_103335 (reduced) 2On June 23, 2017 attorneys Todd Alexander and David Grundy participated in the Nevada Rural Hospital Partners Foundation, Inc. (NRHPF) 20th Annual Golf Tournament. The purpose of NRHPF is to promote public health welfare for better hospital and medical care in rural areas and to improve the ability of Nevada rural hospitals to meet care needs in their areas by working toward solutions to common problems; to promote public awareness and support of health services provided by rural hospitals/medical facilities; and to sponsor educational projects to further these objectives. The proceeds from this tournament fund educationalist programs for the NRHPF member hospitals, including the Human Resources Work Group.  Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg is a proud gold sponsor of this event and we look forward to participating next year.

Legal Elite 2017 – Nevada’s Top Attorneys

Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg congratulates its attorneys who were recognized on the 2017 Legal Elite list published in the June 2017 issue of Nevada Business Magazine. Robert Eisenberg and Christian Moore were both named on a list of Northern Nevada’s top attorneys. This year marks Legal Elite’s tenth year of presenting Nevada’s top attorneys. The annual list showcases attorneys whose peers have named them among the best of the best in our state. Polling for the 2017 list began at the end of February and nearly 6,400 nominations were collected throughout the state. Those nominations then went through an extensive verification process. The final Legal Elite list includes only the top 4 percent of attorneys in the state broken down by location. Congratulations again to our Legal Elite!

Meet Our New Associate

Dane Littlefield is a lifelong resident of Washoe County with deep family roots in Nevada. Dane graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice in 2011. Dane then attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, graduating with distinction in 2015.

While attending law school Dane served as the Chief Symposium Editor for the Pacific McGeorge Global Business and Development Law Journal, worked as a summer intern for the California Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General, and provided bankruptcy advice to low income clients with the Bankruptcy Clinic at McGeorge Community Legal Services. Following law school, Dane served as the judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jerome M. Polaha at the Second Judicial District Court for the State of Nevada. Dane is licensed to practice law in both the State of Nevada and the State of California and is an Associate Attorney with Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg.

photoFor the third year in a row, the prestigious Turkey Award has been awarded to an attorney at Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg.  Alice Campos Mercado, who is a Master with the Bruce R Thompson Inn – American Inns of Court, led a group of lawyers and judges in a competitive education program designed to elevate trial advocacy skills and professionalism in the courtroom. Their group competed against six other groups and was voted the Program of the Year by the Inn Members, earning the coveted Phillip W. Bartlett Trophy “Turkey” Award.  Congratulations, Alice!

cstCaryn Tijsseling joined Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg in October of 2013.  Prior to joining Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg, Caryn was a partner in the Litigation Practice Group at Lewis Roca Rothgerber, LLP.  Caryn graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.  Thereafter, she attended California Western School of Law in San Diego, California where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 1997.  Caryn worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Connie J. Steinheimer of the Second Judicial District Court of the State of Nevada from 1997-1999. 

Caryn is a member of various professional organizations including the Washoe County Bar Association, the Association of Defense Counsel and is a founder of the Construction Law Section of the State Bar of Nevada.  Caryn also actively serves on the Board of Directors of the March of Dimes and Care Chest of Northern Nevada. 

At Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg Caryn practices primarily in the areas of construction and commercial litigation.  She defends the interest of banks and other financial institutions in state and federal court, including bankruptcy court.  Caryn has handled creditor collection actions, repossessions and loan defaults on behalf of various financial institutions.  In addition, she has significant experience in mechanic’s lien rights, construction defect, green building and construction contract negotiation.  She frequently lectures on construction issues at continuing education seminars addressing issues such as construction damages, risks and benefits of green building and mechanic’s lien laws.  Caryn has also frequently represented banking and construction clients in bankruptcy related matters and has advised on employment related issues unique to those industries.

Caryn frequently takes on pro bono cases involving domestic violence, child advocacy and international human rights, including holocaust reparation matters.
